Description

There's some story to this one, this is actually a bit of gift art in a way. I can't for the life of me remember the name of this dwarf, he's an old D&D character of a friend of mine from a campaign years and years ago. I remember it began with the letter "G" but that's about it.

This guy here was responsible for my death. You see, behind those doors there was a giant red dragon waiting to be fought and (hopefully) killed. I questioned why such a large dragon would be in a room with such relatively small doors but I suppose sometimes they fall asleep and next thing the dragon knows is that someone build a dungeon around it.

The fight against the dragon went horribly and the surviving party members (myself included) ran for their lives. I, along with this dwarf (I believe I was an elvish rogue) ran out of the chamber and made it outside, high on a mountain top with the dragon not far behind us. My dwarf companion knocked me over down the side of the mountain, jumped on my body, and used my soon-to-be-corpse like a snowboard to safely traverse the mountain side and escape to safety at the expense of my life.

When the what was left of the party got back together at the local town, there was a traveler there who could magically revive me for a small fee. Despite having more than enough stolen loot from the dragon's domain, no one wanted to revive me citing how useless an elvish rogue is, even as a meat shield. :(

And so I was dead dead in yet another game of D&D. :skull:
